MyWebTutor is an online platform that endeavour to deliver the Best Tutoring Service Available to students by connecting them to tutors and enabling live online tutoring.

Instead of physically visiting the student's home, tutors use a good Internet connection, virtual blackboard, webcam and a microphone to teach. The teacher-student interaction is two-way and in real time. At MyWebTutor, ‘live online tutoring’ implies that ‘one tutor teaches one student at a time’. The student thus gets complete and undivided attention in class.

No, MyWebTutor does not provide video of recordings or lectures. Tutors and students join MyWebTutor's Live Class at the same time. The experience is similar to a tutor and student having a class in the same room.

Joining MyWebTutor has three main benefits:

MyWebTutor has profiles of all its tutors displayed on website. Students can see the tutor's profile and shortlist tutors. You can check the shortlisted tutors on your MyWebTutor dashboard and request for introductory session.

Introductory session is the introduction session of a student with a particular tutor during which the student can evaluate the suitability and compatibility of the tutor as per her learning requirements. It also helps the tutor to ascertain if she wants to accept the concerned student.

Students can shortlist tutors based on various factors such as hourly rate, gender, age, profile, etc. Tutors shortlisted are added to student's dashboard. Students can tutors request for introductory session through dashboard.

Student can send request for introductory sessions to the shortlisted tutors through his/ her MyWebTutor dashboard.

During the introductory session, the student can discuss with tutors about their learning requirements. In addition to the academics or studies, please feel free to discuss with the tutor about her teaching philosophy / style, credentials, experience etc.

Fees can be discussed during the introductory session but cannot be negotiated. This is to ensure transparency in the transactions. Students should shortlist tutors as per his/ her preferences on the hourly rate. Students can check the tutor's hourly rate through tutor profile listed on MyWebTutor dashboard.

We strongly recommend that parents (of the student) to interact with the tutor during the introductory session.

Policies for rescheduling/ canceling introductory session are as follows:
- If introductory session is rescheduled or canceled, more than 12 hours in advance before the introductory session, then no penalty is applicable
- If introductory session is rescheduled or canceled, less than 12 hours but more than 30 minutes before the introductory session, student will be charged 25% of hourly fee with her tutor as penalty.
- If introductory session is rescheduled or canceled, less than 30 minutes before the introductory session or there is No-show by student for the introductory session, student will be charged 100% of hourly fee with her tutor as penalty.

Penalties charged for rescheduling/ cancellation are credited to the tutor’s account after adjusting for the MyWebTutor Service Fee. Similar policy applies to tutors also in case a tutor reschedules or cancels classes. Number of reschedulement/ cancellation instances by a Student will be shown on the Student’s dashboard. Class must be rescheduled/ canceled by student through the class schedule displayed on her MyWebTutor dashboard. Rescheduling/ cancellation through any other method will not be recognised by the MyWebTutor platform. Penalties will apply based on when is the class schedule updated on the MyWebTutor dashboard.

At MyWebTutor, we are always adding new exams/ subjects to our offerings. Please send us details about your exam/ subject and we will revert if an introductory session for you can be arranged at MyWebTutor.

A tutoring program is series of classes taken on MyWebTutor towards a specific academic objective. On MyWebTutor, almost all aspects of the program are as per your preferences - choice of tutors, timing and schedule of classes, syllabus coverage, and to a certain extent your fees. Your fees is determined by the hourly rate of the tutor you chose.

Student can first take introductory sessions with the tutors shortlisted and discuss with tutors for deciding the best-fit program.

Yes, you can take up tutoring sessions with different tutors for different topics to be covered in a subject.

No. You need to register only once. After you have started tutoring program on MyWebTutor, you can add new tutors to your dashboard with whom you want to take classes.

Students (and tutors) can request classes through MyWebTutor dashboard, as per weekly schedule decided mutually between student and tutor. At MyWebTutor you get flexibility in terms of re-scheduling classes. We recommend students should fix their weekly schedule with tutors. Re-scheduling/ cancellation should be done only in unavoidable circumstances.

Yes, you can change the weekly schedule for a program at a later stage if your tutor agrees to the new schedule.

Yes, you can. A defined program acts as a starting point for you and your tutor. As you proceed, based on your requirement, you can change pace of program, add or delete topics, change sequence in which topics are taught etc. in consultation with tutor. Please note fee will be charged in accordance with number of sessions taken on MyWebTutor.

Yes, student can cancel or reschedule pre-scheduled classes with tutors using MyWebTutor dashboard.

Policies for rescheduling/ canceling regular classes are as follows:
- If a class is rescheduled or canceled by you, more than 12 hours in advance before the scheduled class start time, then no penalty is imposed.
- If a class is rescheduled or canceled by you, less than 12 hours but more than 30 minutes before the scheduled class start time, then student will be charged 25% of hourly fee with her tutor as penalty.

Policies for late coming for a regular class are as follows:
- A student must join the class on or before the scheduled start time for class
- If the student joins the class after 5 minutes but before 15 minutes of the scheduled class start time, then it will be marked as ‘Late Entry’ in the class.
- If the student joins the class after 15 minutes of the scheduled class start time, then it is marked as ‘No-show’ by the student. Class is deemed to be rescheduled/ canceled. No-show penalty will apply.

Penalties may apply as per late coming instances by the student.

The Mywebtutor dashboard allows students to communicate with tutor strictly for academic purposes including scheduling classes, providing feedback on classes, sharing assignments. You can send your tutors messages and receive messages from your tutors using your MyWebTutor dashboard.

Using MyWebTutor dashboard, student can upload class notes or assignments for tutors and download questions or homework uploaded by tutors.

The MyWebTutor dashboard has all communication facilities required to communicate with your tutor for conducting online tutoring. In case you desire any other feature or communication tool, please contact us for the same. You should not contact tutor through any other method such as personal email, phone, skype etc.

Yes, you can. Just send us a request through your dashboard. The new tutor can start teaching from the point where old tutor left off or cover those topics again as per your requirement. In case a tutor replacement occurs, the rate as per the new tutor will be applied and the fee for the program will be adjusted accordingly.

To start a class, login to your MyWebTutor dashboard and go to ‘My Classes’ and then click on ‘Enter Class’ corresponding to the scheduled class to be started.

In such cases, the student should wait for tutor to enter the class. If tutor joins the class after 5 minutes of the scheduled start time of class, tutor is liable for penalties with respect to late coming. If tutor doesn’t join the class within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time of class, please leave the class. Please do not forget to provide feedback, through the form MyWebTutor sends you, about ‘No-Show’ by tutor. You will be paid for ‘No-Show’ by tutor.

In such an unfortunate circumstance, you can leave the class and join the class again through your dashboard after a few minutes. If problem still persists, you can end the class before the scheduled time. In feedback form you receive, indicate the reason for early discontinuation of the class. The student will be charged for the actual number of minutes before the class was discontinued.

Yes, your tutor can extend the class duration if you need extra time to complete a topic or a lesson, provided tutor has got no session after that.

Sessions may be recorded for security and evaluation purposes.

Fees for a tutoring program will depend upon the hourly rate of the tutor selected by you. For example - if the hourly rate of tutor selected by you is AUD 25 / hour and the recommended tutoring hours for a program are 50 hours, then total fee for that program will be AUD 1250. If program needs to extend due to syllabus not getting covered or the student needing more time - the fees may increase.

Tutors at MyWebTutor decide their own hourly tutoring rate. You can shortlist a tutor for the introductory session based upon the hourly rate. Please note any changes in the number of sessions of the program due to the customization by the student can lead to change in the fees of the program.

Student pays fee to MyWebTutor. The fee paid by student is kept in escrow by MyWebTutor and is paid to tutor on a periodic basis as the classes are conducted. In case the student discontinues a tutoring program, fees for the unused sessions is refunded. Fees cannot be paid to the tutor directly. In the event of breach of this policy, MyWebTutor reserves the right to terminate student’s MyWebTutor account and cancel all her classes at MyWebTutor.

No, fee is non-negotiable. This is to ensure transparency in the transactions. Student should shortlist only those tutors, whose hourly rate is as per the preferences set by the student. students can check the hourly rate of the tutors through their profile listed on the MyWebTutor website.

Fees can be paid by Paypal (Credit Cards and Debit Cards) and Net Banking.

The student should pay the first installment of fee before the start of the tutoring program. Student can pay the remainder fee as the tutoring program progresses.

Tutors are paid and students are charged for the actual number of minutes taught in a class. Class start time is taken as the time when both tutor and student are present in the class. Class end time is taken as the time when either party - student or tutor - leaves the class and does not join back in next 5 minutes.

Login to your MyWebTutor dashboard and go to ‘Statement’ to access your class statements on monthly basis and payment corresponding to it.

If for any reason a student want to cancel the program, MyWebTutor will refund your unused fees, i.e. total fees paid less fees consumed through taking tutoring sessions. Refunds as applicable will be made within 10 working days from the date a student (or student’s parents) requests for refund. The refunds will be made directly to the student’s (or student’s parents) bank account, provided proper bank account details are given.

MyWebTutor is designed to be browser based application. So if you have Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome installed you should be ready.

You will require desktop/laptop/tablet, broadband Internet connection, a headset (microphone-speakers combinations), webcam and a digital pen tablet. Click here to check example of pen tablet

You require a broadband connection with minimum download and upload speed of 1Mbps.

To reset your password, visit www.mywebtutor.com.au and click on login. Enter your email ID registered with MyWebTutor and then check your inbox for the link to reset your password.

When you register on MyWebTutor, you automatically receive an email request to verify your address. Follow the instructions received to verify your email id. Till the time you verify your email id, your access to MyWebTutor account will remain restricted.
